Job Opportunity: Planning Services Administration

Location: Town of Carman, RM of Dufferin, and RM of Grey
Reports to: Chief Administrative Officers & the Planning District Board

Position Overview
The Carman Dufferin Grey Planning District is seeking a candidate for Planning Services Administration to oversee the administration of planning and permitting services. This position is initially full-time, with the potential to transition to part-time in the future and may lead to a permanent role based on needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage planning permits from application to approval, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Issue invoices and maintain records, providing monthly progress reports.
  • Conduct research on local regulations and assist with zoning amendments and variations.
  • Liaise with municipal staff, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Respond to inquiries and maintain up-to-date informational materials.

Desired Qualifications

  • University degree or College Diploma in Business, Office Administration, or related field, with accounting coursework preferred.
  • Familiarity with planning and permitting processes.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented.
