Job Description:

The Cartwright-Roblin Municipality is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the full‑time position of Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO).

The successful candidate will provide administrative and financial support to the Chief Administrative Officer and Council and work cooperatively with staff and the public in a courteous and professional manner.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Municipal accounting and financial administration, including payroll and accounts payable, tax/ assessment sub‑ledgers and tax sales, bank reconciliations, financial reports, GST claims, preparation for audit, assist with budget, yearend reports.
  • Assisting in the absence of the CAO, and other duties as required.

 

This position involves regular office work, including the use of MuniSoft accounting and Microsoft Office software, and interaction with residents and external organizations.

 

Cartwright-Roblin is a Municipality of approximately 1,400 in the Pembina Valley Region of Manitoba, close to the North Dakota border. Agriculture and manufacturing are the main industries. The area boasts diverse historical sites and outdoor activities that drive tourism and recreation.
