Job Description:

The R.M. of Rosedale is accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Heavy Equipment Operator to work out our Public Works shop located in Eden, MB.

Responsibilities:

– Operation of heavy equipment (Grader, Backhoe, Bulldozer)

– Responsible for the maintenance of equipment, including the maintenance of accurate records

– Assist in maintenance work of the Public Works department

– Adhere to safe and efficient operation practices of equipment

– Completion of general labour and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

– Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a public works environment or equivalent workplace

– Minimum 5 years’ experience operating and maintaining various light and heavy equipment including a bulldozer, tractor and mower, grader, and backhoe

– Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health and the capacity to adhere to the regulations and acts

– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

– Work 40 hours per week, 50 hours during construction season (April 1 – October 31)

– $1.00 Premium for possession of a valid Class 1 license with air brake certification.

Wage and benefits will be in accordance with the Operating Engineers 987 Collective Agreement.

2026 = $30.93/hr, 2027 = $32.17/hr, less $1.00/hr while on probation
